Turbo Discs available for popular HE-VA Top Strigle straw harrow

HE-VA’s Top Strigle straw harrow created a significant amount of interest when it was launched at LAMMA 2024 and has been a great success in the field this season. Its performance is particularly impressive thanks to its heavy-duty construction. Its heavyweight build means that, even in the hardest soil conditions, it is able to penetrate the surface, distribute crop residue and create a tilth to prompt a lush of weeds.

The addition of “Turbo Discs” to 3m-9m models further intensifies the movement of soil, thus increasing the weed chit to help in the fight against problem weeds such as blackgrass and ryegrass by creating a stale seedbed.

Working directly behind the combine, the Top Strigle’s Turbo Discs and five rows of heavy-duty harrow tines spread trash and create a micro tilth to prompt a flush of growth. Equally as important as the need to generate a chit of weeds, the harrow disturbs slug eggs exposing them to sunlight and destroying the next generation of mollusc pests before they emerge.

Power requirement for the straw harrow is based on the need for an effective working speed. As an example, a 6m Top Strigle would ideally be mounted on a 155-180hp tractor.

GRASS COMBI WITH STOCKS AG TURBO JET 10

Also launched at LAMMA, the Grass Combi multi-purpose harrow is now available with a Stocks AG Turbo Jet 10 Applicator to meet increased demand for seeding cover crop and other SFI seed mixes. The HE-VA Grass Combi fitted with a Stocks Ag Turbo Jet 10 is a true multi-purpose tool. With the combination of levelling boards, heavy duty spring tines and the option to tow a set of rolls it can be employed for a whole range of pasture rejuvenation and cover crop establishment.

The Stocks AG Turbo Jet 10 seeder is available with a 240L or 400L hopper, and up to 20 spreader-plate outlets. It is capable of applying higher rates of seed, working at faster forward speeds and can be fitted with a high-capacity metering block for larger seeds if required. The Turbo Jet can be set up to apply, in bands or in rows as required with the spreader plate outlets configured as necessary.

Three different control systems can be specified: the JACKAL, the i-CON, and ISOBUS ready.

STOCKS AG MOUNTING KITS

The team at HE-VA have been working together with Stocks Ag and are pleased to announce they now offer factory fitted Stocks Ag applicators and mounting kits to suit the majority of the HE-VA product range.

HE-VA’s range of machinery including cultivation, Cambridge rolls and grassland equipment will be displayed on OPICO Ltd.’s stand at the NEC at LAMMA Show in January, located on stand 440 in Hall 6.
